It's never too late to ask for help!

Here's something you all need to remember—you are never too far gone, never too good and never above asking for or needing help.
Losing weight and keeping the weight off can become the biggest challenge many of us will face over our lifetime. For some of us who've yo-yoed with our weight for many years, there have been moments where all you want to do is give up. You think to yourself, "Screw this and hand me that package of donuts!” Or you've hit a wall and nothing seems to be working anymore so you decide to just give up.

What do you do in these moments?

Do you just give up and go back to your old ways again? Or do you decide to keep going, stay on track and ask for some advice or get some help.

Even those of us who have lost weight, kept it off for a couple of years and then start having issues with pounds slowly creeping back on again can be tempted to just give up.

Here's a great recent example of when a professional has a problem and needs help. Tiger Woods, one of the world's greatest golfers, just announced that he is taking some time off from the PGA Tour to work on his game. Do think Tiger Woods is going to try and correct his problems alone? NOT A CHANCE! He's going to have at least one coach in there helping him get back on the course and make adjustments to his game.

This same example works in all aspects of our lives. If we need medical help, we go to a doctor. If we need to fix a leaky faucet or some other plumbing issues, we call a plumber. You get the point. So if we have are having issues with losing weight or keeping off the weight we need to ask for help from people with experience and knowledge.

Before I started my lifestyle change back in 2011, I did research and talked to knowledgeable people in the field to help me put together my weight loss and exercise plan. It's been a few years now and I've been able to keep the weight off by myself for the most part. But over the course of 2014, I was on a mission to put some much needed muscle on me. To do that naturally, I needed to put some weight on and so I did. Over the course of the last 15 months I have been able to put on quite a bit of muscle, and unfortunately a little too much weight. I really have not been too concerned about this extra weight until recently when I was working on taking the weight off, and it was not coming off! This is very frustrating and troubling at the same time. So what am I going to do about it—give up or look for someone to help me? I'm looking for help. I hired a coach to help me with my food plan, supplements and exercise. You are never too much of an expert to reach out for some help and guidance!

So now, what are you going to do? Swallow your pride, maybe spend a few dollars and hire a coach or simply sit down and message us here on I AM AN OVER EATER!! We can help you make the right choices for you and help to keep you on the path to a healthier lifestyle. We can offer advice, helpful hints and tips and even connect you with other professionals in our circle. But remember this, it’s still up to YOU to make the right choices and it’s up to you to get up and go to the gym and exercise. We can’t do it for you. Take control of your life and make the tough choices and healthy changes.

Never be afraid to ask for help.
